Born in 1983, María González belongs to a new generation of young basso continuo players and accompanists.

Education

I studied with Carmen Conde (piano), Beatrice Martin at ESMUC (Bachelor degree), and Jesper Christensen at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Master in Early Music Performance: Cembalo and Basso Continuo).
I also did a Training like opera repetiteur in “La Nuova Fabbrica dell’Opera Barocca” (Milan, Italy) with M.Toni, D.Colonna and M.Custer (l’incoronazzione di Poppea, Orfeo- Monteverdi and L’Acteon- Charpentier).
Currently I am doing my PhD program at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

My ensemble

I am co-founder of Ensemble Daimonion, winners of the 1st prize and the special prize of the jury in the International Competition Premio Bonporti (2011). With Ensemble Daimonion I have an intense musical activity around Europe and America. See Ensemble Daimonion’s website.

Positions

From 2010 to 2013, I have worked as harpsichord accompanist at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Musik Akademie der Stadt Basel).
From 2016-2018, I thought Harpsichord, Basso Continuo and Chamber Music in the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Sevilla.
I was invited several times by Universidad Central of Bogotá (Colombia) as cembalo and basso continuo teacher in the Master Program.
Since 2017 I am teaching basso continuo at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
